Left coast summit
Nov. 14th, 2024 05:03 pmNonstop everything, part 2 of 3, is ending. At least this time there were nonstop flights.
Basically I was home for one full day, which I spent largely attending the joint birthday party over at Blue-Green Street. It was really, really nice to have the bug & squirrel in one place after I’d been missing them both! Squirrel and Perse both liked their gifts from me, and I met some new people I liked before going home to do a few Productive Things and crash out. Then the next day I packed up an entirely different set of clothes, and flew to the left coast.
The summit was mostly pleasant, ( and ) at least today I was up in plenty of time to take a long Lyft ride to an old friend’s house and meet his... new kittens!!!
Yeah, totally worth it. They are about four months old, and their tiny faces just slay me. After a little warming up, they were more than happy to chase my purse strap around the living room. And then to the bart and the airport, which was a nice chance to stand for a while and to actually see the city life.
I'm glad I gave myself full travel days on Saturday, Monday and today. Sure that's too much travel for one 7-day period, but it's better than trying to travel and also get a bunch of other stuff done.
