A dialogue

HLM: Mm-mm (as in, nope).
Me: You didn't print envelopes for the invites, so we can't send them.
Both, sadly: Mm-mm.
Me: You know, that's what I really like to do over the weekend... FAIL.
HLM: Because you do so much succeeding during the week, you really need a break.
Me: Yeah. That's it.
Ah, the bad workout, the skipped workout, the tantrum, the not getting much work done. Yeah. I did have a good dinner with B, who by the way has realized that all the aspects of grad school she's liked so far have had to do with teaching, so she's dropping out of the PhD program to pursue a teaching certificate. The cool thing is that it won't really cost her any time, because she can do it in the 2 years it would have taken her to finish the PhD. That was a happy thing. She came over and talked wedding-talk for a few minutes, then called her boyfriend DC to pick her up, and they kindly took away the beer from that last party night. I think DC was slightly nervous to come in and find her flipping through a catalogue of wedding invitations--she was like "it's okay! I just like stationery!". Hehe. :)
