i really recommend workingon jumping up to a hs through a straddle. it's a really useful skill. and i found the elevated headstand presses REALLY useful. my next step after that (aside from doing a LOT of presses with a spot) was to work on jumping up to a straddle and lowering down really slow. and then pressing up with my feet on a step -- you probably saw all my videos of that.
