Oops, I did it again... sort of, barely.

It's pretty inevitable that I have my best stretching sessions on Sundays after lower-body weightlifting. I take a long time to stretch out, and the muscles are warm and exhausted, tight but also ready to collapse into a puddle. Tonight I did splits on the right and left side 5 times, and on the last two tries on the left side I just barely kissed the floor (without being able to put weight on it). A little kiss promising, I hope, a lot more someday.
Kiva.org has some new statistics up so that I can compare myself to the "average Kiva user." Heh. I've had a couple of loans refunded due to bad juju (which means I have credit to burn) and haven't made my November loan yet, so I was going to get straight with them tonight, but they're in one of those periods where they've gotten too much publicity (they say they were mentioned in Giving by Bill Clinton, and they made it onto Oprah and the Today Show; I also saw them mentioned in the latest Glamour, which can't have hurt) and are limiting lending to $25 per entrepreneur to keep themselves from running out of businesses in need. I hate when they do that. :P Usually I just go away when it happens, and come back later; this time I lent $25 to a young photographer who needed $400 and had $100 already, and as I typed this post she got fully funded. Jesus! So much for sneaking back in and loaning more to her over the course of multiple logins. Still, Kiva always manages to brighten my view of humanity. It's pretty nice to be annoyed that seven other people cared too much and too fast for me to do more.
