(I think I like the corresponding boots even better, but they're harder to justify. I already have nice black boots.)

Who the hell got me going with looking at Fluevogs anyway? I've had the Derby Swirl boots for 9.5 years now, so I can actually believe the rave reviews about those heels being comfortable.

If you order them online, keep in mind the Fluevogs run bizarrely small. Like, I always wear an 8 1/2, and had to get a 10 in Fluevog!

Okay, this is me posting again cuz I'm obsessive like that. OMG, I didn't realize that these were the mini heel! my mary janes are the higher heel, and they're pretty comfy, but I also have a pair of short boots (not made anymore) with the mini heel and I'm telling you, those are SERIOUSLY like wearing tennis shoes.

Great, now I might just have to get another pair. maybe the Zazas? Or one of the black boots? Oy.

I am seriously intrigued by the Mini heel; it looks fantastic.

Thanks! Sources online say that all the Mini styles have funky sizing, and the best thing to do is get advice from a company rep. I'm lucky though... Boston has a Fluevog store. I may try to figure out my size and then look on ebay... or just wait until I'm getting regular paychecks again.

I also wear 8 1/2 (or 40 in european sizing, as I'm now enough of a shoe snob to know). The flat boots I have now are 9s, I think, which is also what my La Canadiennes are. So I think with Fluevog it really varies by style.

chicago has a fluevog store too--very fun place. It's in (funky, artsy) Wicker Park, of course. The staff alone are worth going to see. :-)

Gorgeous! I used to have the mary jane version too, only I did not find them comfortable at all. This is probably my own weirdness as it sounds like everyone else thinks they're great. They were probably just a little too much heel for me (most everything is).

Yeah, I can easily get too much of The Heel. Anything over a couple of inches gets difficult for me... but that's part of why I'm so intrigued by these Mini heels that are supposedly so comfortable. It would be really nice to have a pair of pumps/heels that actually were.

As a side note, Crocs also makes high heels. Tried these on in an airport once:



I have to admit, not bad at all, and I could get 4 pairs of them for less than the Fleuvogs cost and not worry about them getting wet.
