Hello from acroyoga camp

For about half of our work, we're specialized, and I am a base.

Low hand-to-hand work! Low foot-to-hand work! Unfamiliar and exciting. Yesterday was (somewhat) less challenging, but they've realized it's a good group and started to crank things up.

"Your arm strength is amazing," says my flyer. I don't really think it's amazing, I think it's from bench presses... but what the hell, maybe it IS pretty cool that I can lie on my back and hold up another person with just her hands on my hands. (For these poses, I use nevers' trick of pretending our two connection points are stars that are fixed in the firmament and cannot possibly move.)

I like it here. I like doing five hours of training a day. People have come from around the world to attend this, and I like that everyone dresses differently so that it's impossible to look like a dork. I feel completely accepted. The lack of meat in my diet isn't getting to me yet. I've met at least one person who knows nevers, at least one person who knows Z-dawg. Today after all the training five of us went to a nearby hot tub place for an hour... now I'm going to go hang out in the common room for a while.

I'm at an acroyoga acrobatics retreat all week. It's a little bit... differently hygienic... but otherwise heaven. :D

Thanks for asking about the pants -- they did arrive on time, the ones with blue flames on the butt. I'm breaking them out for tomorrow and if that goes well I'll be ordering the spiral ones later.

I'm really glad you are having such an awesome time, but I'm getting a little worried you won't be coming back...if you come back I'll let you base me. MAYBE.
