Nesting instincts, activate

One home-improvement initiative only leads to another. Today we went to Home Despot and we did what customers do: we gave them our money, and walked out with a few pieces of paper and a sudden, urgent need to hire an electrician.

I am apparently into drawers right now. I do so love them, their slidiness, their hiding of stuff.



As of today there are 15(!) drawers on their way to my house, in some form. We ordered four units with 3 drawers each from the Despot, and I already commissioned a slightly custom 3-drawer file cabinet from Maverick for my office corner. If one counts the 26 tiny plastic drawers in the thing I bought from the Container Store, one could conclude that I am a little obsessed right now.

Wow- you drawer fiend, you... :-) Again with the can't wait for pictures... I should hopefully have some for you in about a week- I can't wait to do a before and after set. The doorway I had added to the house TOTALLY changes the entire feel of the house. And my fridge is so pretty and shiny and I loves it. :-)

Hurray! Did you get a "before" of the wall without a door? :) I guess we'll be able to guess what that looked like.

I'll be taking "before" pictures of the stove and the closet-corner, this weekend. Not sure when my afters will be, this time... the cabinets could take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to get here, and then we're still not sure when Mr. Carpenter can come do his thing. But it won't be so bad to have a break.
