Can't believe how long it took me to think of this one. I want to do a public blog post with before-and-afters, but can't do it yet because newegg hasn't shipped my new 12" power cable.
Also can't believe what a fun & productive weekend and good Monday I had. Not only did I get to go on a piggy bank hunt in the office and find/win an unexpected $50, but I had a nice talk with the Winemaker. We agreed that failure plus the passage of one year sometimes yields results as good as success. Remind me of this next time I am worried, okay? :)
Dark clouds are looming at work, though, in the form of sudden pressure on a planned project. Imagine an elephant suddenly sitting on you; that's how my team feels. The next few weeks might be (gulp) a learning experience. I'm not worried exactly, but think I know where a lot of my weekends in May and June will be going.
- Mount your power strip on the wall (or the side of your desk, whatever).
- Measure how far it is from the plug to your computer; the plug to the monitor; the monitor to the computer.
- Go to newegg.com and order cables that aren't several feet longer than necessary.
- ...Profit!
