TV has re-entered my life

flexagonSo last night we headed over to J-dawg's place (she and L-dawg are each other's girlfriends) to watch Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. We also caught a bit of Boy Meets Boy, but whatever. Anyway... QE has got to be the funniest thing I've seen in ages. Loved it. It's worth surrendering the right to say "I haven't watched TV in, oh, forever". The cattiness, the interior decoration tips--fabulous. Mmmmwah! So now we have a standing Tuesday 10:00 date at J-dawg's. I'm worried that the Carnegie class, which lets out at 9:30 a block from Boyleston, will make me miss the first 10 minutes every time, but maybe it won't be so bad.
(Random aside: in a discussion about how, thanks to a hiring binge, we now have senior people without windows, I was just told not to whine by the biggest whiner in our office. Well... I was stating a fact. I do find this "you'll never get a window" thing demoralizing, and that will be a factor in my next job choice. And I am going to get a better job somehow, so there. My friend MH has me more than half thinking to not even stick around until next fall's bonuses... it's just a matter of having the balls to quit. Mood on this one: determined.)
I guess today is a day for modification of stringent behavior (not that avoidance of TV is an effort on my part... going somewhere to watch it is the effort. But you knew what I meant).
