There are at least two things I think would be very practical as objects as well as enjoyable to make from glass... drinking cups and Christmas ornaments. (I like glass icicle ornaments and have a hard time finding them, plus they'd make great gifts.)
Still grouchy in my head about not being able to make coffee cups that are good for hot liquid; but he DID say they do work with that "boro" stuff, aka Pyrex, so... how does one work with that? We'd have to go back and ask. :-)
