It's not that I'm vain, it's that our central A/C decided to die last night.

High of 100 predicted today, you say? Funny, because I'm suddenly predicting a lot of time spent at the gym and Starbucks.

Edited to add: it's fixed! A capacitor blew. It's going to take hours to cool the whole place down from 91 to something reasonable, but the system is running again.

Ugh! That was me two weeks ago. I felt your pain! (And although I don't know you guys well, I have a guest room if you need a cool place to sleep.)

Wow. Excessively poor timing. How quickly can you get the repair crew in?

(I'm amused you think the gym and Starbucks--I immediately think of work as the alternative option. Though I'm not sure they keep the AC on during the day on holidays--do you have any data?)

Build your own? I sort of assume this would work better with an insulated container of some kind, but hey, ice is cheap, at least...?

You're always a hot lady, chica. ;-)

Why is it that these things never happen when it's a moderate temperature?

Great minds think alike

Oh, no!!! Our A/C died last week right as we were moving in!

You have my sympathies, Dear.
