Signs of winter

flexagon1) Hands getting lizardy, Burt's Bees hand salve usage picking up dramatically.
2) Cat is sleeping by the radiator again.
3) Pitch dark outside at 6:30 PM... invariably an indication that daylight saving time is about to occur and make it be pitch dark outside at 5:30 PM. Why do they do it to me, why, why?
4) Snow flurries yesterday, yeah, I saw them. Sigh.
Life's fine aside from that. I got some good things done at work, and was also reminded by HLM last night that he didn't quit his day job to follow his idea until like 5 years after he originally had the idea in grad school. Plus I had a good stretching session and got my feet rubbed. Of such tiny things are better moods composed. :)
I dreamed I was in college and had basically been called for a booty call by this cute senior (no relation to anyone in real life). I remember thinking I'd heard he was kind of a jerk, and thinking he was below me or something, and then I got all turned on by the thought of, I guess, somewhat debasing myself by having a one-night stand with him. Oh, and interestingly I was thinking he'd be my nth sex partner where n is the number that HLM really is... so presumably I wasn't married or anything in the dream. Well, we got to his place and it was all messy, kind of a dorm suite, and there was some confusion when I wandered into the wrong suite by mistake (they were connected) and more confusion finding a bathroom. But I peed and all was well. Then somehow L-dawg and J-dawg were there and we talked for a minute, and then M showed up wearing her bridesmaid dress, slightly altered... which I recognized as such, but I still didn't think of HLM at all. Sexy slob guy showed back up and showed me to his bedroom--slight confusion with going into the wrong room again, and then I found the right room and waited for him in the dark. I was pretty turned on. Unfortunately we didn't actually get around to having sex before I woke up or something... damn!
And, wow--just found out that as of today, you can search for words inside books at amazon (click, they have a letter all about it right on their main page). Jeff Bezos, you fuckin' rock my world. This feature already helped me find a children's poem my mom's been wanting to find for ages.
