Another typically unproductive Tuesday

flexagonI guess last night was Good S.O. night or something, because HLM was very helpful as well... only my problem was being stressed (and hungry) and, to be more specific, too stressed to relax enough for proper sex. I kept thinking about career crap and magazine crap and all kinds of things I could be doing... sigh. I admitted as much, and he promptly offered to make a little more effort along those lines. And he did. Nice! And then I fell asleep. Zonk! And then I felt better.
Aside from that, today was largely about holidays. Someone's birthday (bought a card, passed it around), Xmas shopping (online) and Halloween office decorating (our company has a contest, plus I helped with buying decorations for the big office party on Friday). I got a little work done, but I can't say it was a lot. And in a few minutes I'll leave for the last Dale Carnegie class I get to attend before graduation... hmmm, and I have to give a talk on a time when I conquered worry. Must dredge a clear-cut example from my muddly life, somehow. I don't think a recap of the paragraph above is going to cut it.
Oh yes: the one amusing moment of the day came when the office meanie came by and told me my shiny pants (same ones I wore to the party) were immodest. He said it in a rather jocular way though... apparently he was looking. Heh heh.

Date: 2003-10-29 07:45 pm (UTC)Carnegie doesn't actually recommend sex, but of course he was writing in the 30s and he does recommend exercise (at least through some of his case histories). I bet he'd've said it if he could have.
