The royal we (written yesterday)

We're reading The Goblin Emperor and it's very much making us want to use the royal "we". As in, we got our period today; could this be a partial explanation for the lassitude we have been feeling?

And we were full of lassitude this whole three-day weekend. Yes we were. We were lazy, and poly. With heisenbug busy making a 48-hour movie thing (it's done, but I can't link to it yet) we spent a bunch of time with norwoodbridge being lazy. And riding a Ferris wheel and trying out Calea Z without great effect, but mostly being lazy. We had a disturbing amount of fun helping/forcing him to sort his books into "keep" and "give away" piles while his pet bunny tried to nibble the corners of all of them.

Then, today was our one-year anniversary with our girlthing, and we therefore were obliged to take the day off and go on a picnic at the Arnold Arboretum. It was low-key and nice, with BLTs and apples to eat, on one of the first truly warm days of the year.

We could wish for more peaceful feelings regarding our employment. But this is normal.

I watched your royal awesomeness in Handbalancing 3/4 yesterday when I was waiting for a trapeze. Holy handstands Batman!

Yesterday's class was off the charts high-level. It was the usually-best person in class ever, plus the new gymnast guy who can do almost anything on the first try, plus me... I was definitely the slacker, but I do think they inspired me!

*nod* *nod* It was impressive to watch. Also, OMG eye candy. I feel bad about appreciating Esh eye candy, but there's so much of it!
