I love those moments of panic
Nov. 3rd, 2003 12:45 pmYou know, like after you've been on the phone with your Dale Carnegie teacher regarding the sappy 3-minute speech you have to give in 8 days to all and sundry, and you realize that the whole bit about well, I'm uncomfortable talking about my vision with my boss there, because a fair portion of my vision is about quitting and I obviously won't be able to talk about that... was a part you said in a fairly normal voice with your office door open. D'oh!
Sneaking to the door & looking left and right revealed both bosses absent with doors closed... and I didn't hear any doors closing during the conversation... so I think I got away with it this time. Still, I'm such a goober and am so going to get fired halfway through my next interview process. When it comes down to it I'd best make sure I have all personal files off the computer, books taken home, etc, before I even start. :b
