I've been thinking a LOT about attention and focus lately. I've been having trouble with focus at work, especially when doing bullshit things that I don't naturally take an interest in; but it could be that complaining about this is like saying "yeah, when I relax all my muscles and just wait for something to happen, I don't do my tae kwon do form very well." I've found I can often perform much better if I excercise even a little self-control with not going to websites, not calling my bank, putting off writing to my friends, etc.... if I put it off for even 10 minutes I often get more into my work, and keep going longer than the 10, and get stuff done. Have I really let my habits get so flabby? This is something A has had real struggles with, working on his own, so I know I'm not the only one, but it sucks. I always thought I was a pretty self-controlled person.

Note the irony here: I should be filling out bullshit forms right now! And I am, between typing sentences. Really I am.
