Last night's tae kwon do class was surprisingly good. I worked on my form all alone because I was the only blue stripe there, and the teacher corrected a couple of things and said "okay, looks good." Either that means I'm getting close to testing, or else he just didn't feel like fixing me any more. It would be great to get that blue belt one of these months. I went to sparring last Saturday; guess I should be a good little warrior now and keep going.

Return of the King, which I saw this morning, was great... not very much Legolas footage, but that's okay. The most effective and moving scene, from my nerdy perspective, was a total surprise... the lighting of the signal fires between Rohan and Gondor. Watch for it. :)

(Eowyn on the battlefield also rocked my world--as I knew she would. I clapped like a feminist fiend when she slew the Nazgul... what a great moment.)

I'm still not sleeping or eating right. At least the bank is continuing to be my bitch... it looks like we should indeed be able to close in late January. We're meeting the banker tomorrow (in person, for the first time) to talk about how and when they should do my bidding. I expect that to go pretty smoothly. All these people want is financial statements... in my sleepy state it strikes me as odd. I give them papers & they are happy. *shrug*

Cool

Yeah, the signal fires scene was pretty awesome. They did do that full frontal of Legolas (well, full face at least) - I was surprised not to hear any women gasp in our theater. For my money, I thought the bowing scene at the (near) end was the most moving. I dare say a tear came to my eye, though it was not shed.
I'm sorry that I missed you guys at the morning showing. Did you get my email or were you wondering where I was?

I can't wait to see it. but am willing to hold off to let the crowds pass by.

HA HA... it's good to see the bank is your bitch rather than the other way around (as is so often the case). Very well phrased!!!

:)
