Did everyone remember to read the State of the Union address? Or maybe you actually watched it on those strange cathode ray tubes you all seem to own. Anyway, the speech seemed a bit choppy, to me. He's talking along about the state of the union and then apparently thinks "whups, I'd better mention my support of the war on drugs and my antipathy toward nontraditional marriage, just to make sure I lose a few more votes", and does so. I'm also still not sure why other countries aren't allowed nukes if we are. And it bugs me that he invokes the words of a chiyyuld at the end just to twang a few parental heartstrings. But the rest of it was about what I expected... the economic news in particular seems good. *shrug*

One more year and we can get rid of him.

Don't be so sure, I didn't think we'd end up with him the first time around. :(

I didn't watch the address, I can't stand the sight of him.

I never like to watch them no matter who's talking. Reading's so much faster, and you don't get the emotional reactions to the tones of voice, the fact that this one talks like a hick, and so forth.

I'm still surprised we got him the first time, too. :(
