Lately I've been trying to jump into low hand-to-hand starting from a couple of mats placed to either side of the Monk's head, to help with the height. But without our coach to spot I've never been able to jump enough, aim forward enough, really do the handstand enough to get there.

Well, on Wednesday the whole thing seemed reasonable enough. I did the jump with the coach far away and we held the hand-to-hand, not once or twice but three times. And I have no idea what changed, or why it suddenly seemed like a reasonable motion, or whether that new perception will stay. Learning is so nonlinear sometimes.

Maybe the press will feel like that someday? My other coach, the Aussie one, thinks I'm close and has crafted my next 8-week exercise program. He doesn't charge enough (as I've told him) so I've been sneakily been giving him a $25 raise with each consecutive program, and I'm not sure whether he's actually caught me yet.
