Drifts of happy-dust
Sep. 30th, 2004 08:20 amI had Chinese today--second time since the sterilization. And for the second time in a row my fortune cookie said "You will never regret the present; you live life to the fullest." Weird, I don't remember ever seeing that one before.
I also (a couple of nights ago) made
jg26's incredible mushroom soup, which knocked HLM's socks off just like I was hoping it would. Because, you know, guy without socks. Sexy. ;)
I was happy about a squintillion things last night... life is good, the bathroom's about done and is beautiful, my job is actually a pick-me-up right now (the project has actually started moving), I have a kickass poem idea and a new wall sculpture idea related to our leftover slate tiles, and I bought books last night that make me hope the long drought in flexagon-satisfying reading may be over. My bug and I were also very snuggly, and he had done a couple of small but nice things for me without being asked, which made me feel very loved. I think what John Gray has to say about doing women favors is probably true... we count the number of them rather than the size when we 'decide' how appreciative to feel.
I have to scramble off to work, but... it's getting dark early! And the sun is starting to come pretty far in here at sunrise, like it used to last winter. Hmm, changing season = excuse to buy more work-clothes.
