Um... there appears to be a [livejournal.com profile] making_babies community. Yeeps. I don't especially recommend it. Those people clearly haven't read this brilliant comparison of kittens, babies, puppies and video cards, or they'd be off getting kittens and upgrading their hardware. :)

As for me, I stayed late at work tonight learning some very painful things about SQL. It's funny how sometimes knowledge doesn't equal happiness... sometimes knowledge just makes you wonder if the language designers could possibly have made the syntax any more ass-backwards. Anyway, as a partial result of that I won't be working out tonight. The physical slump I've been in lately, with 3-4 workouts/week seeming like more than enough, is clearly not over yet. And you know, it's hard to protest all that much. I've learned to read my body pretty well, I and I usually know when working out will make me feel better and when it won't. Lately I've been less brawny and more brainy, and all parties involved seem happy with the pendulum swing. So, in the absence of evidence that anything is actually wrong, I have determined to enjoy the extra time the skipped workouts give me, keep stretching and wait for it all to swing back.

Good for you for not stressing out needlessly over a pendulum swing :)

I'm overwhelmed by some sql myself right now too. For a simple language it can sure be devilish at times.

ugh, sql sucks

I feel for you! We only use sql to load up objects, and then do all processing on the objects themselves. And I still screw it up pretty often.

Yeah, in the attempt to be "simple" it makes all sorts of assumptions.
