As I suspected, blue gets the prize.

I just ordered two mooncups, one for me and one for a bachelorette present for RC (I understand this isn't a very normal gift item, but this person is very into the environment and we always talk about bizarre girly stuff, so I think it's all good). Oddly, I don't think the environmental impact can possibly be that great... compared to other things we throw away all month, surely tampons/pads are a pretty small part of the whole problem unless one is gushing like a fountain. But I do like the way cups don't dry you out and aren't associated with TSS.
QA drop at work is... today. Good. If last night's build passed and they take it, I can charge forward on my fourth and last milestone without fear of the "if I break the build, I'll break the world" kind.

Date: 2005-05-20 12:54 pm (UTC)I read a testimonial on that site about a woman who had extremely heavy flow - used two super tampons and a pad...YIKES. Two tampons? At once? Am I the only person who sees potential problems with that?

Date: 2005-05-20 04:42 pm (UTC)I've been through about 3 periods now with Insteads, and was liking them pretty well until I read a story on vaginapagina about a woman who used them for quite a while and then found she couldn't keep a tampon in. Yeeks. :s On the other hand I have been LOVING the doesn't-dry-you-out aspect. So a try at the other kind of cup seemed like the next step.
