100 gentlemen... and you

flexagonWeird dreams about polyamory last night. I dreamed I was invited over to some guy's house for a date... and so were five other girls, and he wanted us all to be his girlfriends. Instead of feeling insulted, we basically met up in the bathroom (I guess it was a girls' bathroom only) to talk about it. Some of the girls wanted to put a lot of demands on the guy, I was in favor of commending his honesty but pointing out that I was married and not in the market for other relationships... all of us were annoyed that one girl said he didn't want us having sex with each other.
Now that I'm awake, that's pretty funny. :)
The subject line comes from a song I was listening to in the guy's house before he and the other five girls actually started showing up. It was an old-style showtune sort of song, sung by a woman with a really breathy high voice, and it was a love song except that the singer wanted to sleep with other gentlemen. A hundred gentlemen will want me, and I want them too / A hundred gentlemen... and you...
I don't think very much can be read into this. As I was falling asleep I was thinking of ending the year with some thoughts about what I think the future will hold, and the poly lifestyle is one of the things I was thinking of (though lately I've begun thinking that monogamy won't die out; it has some points to recommend it that I'm pretty sure are more than just my own preferences and social brainwashing).
I'm so excited that it's almost Christmas -- and a three-day weekend! I know that most years I get more time off, but even a couple of 3-day weekends in a row is sounding like bliss to me at the moment.
