Happy Valentine's day, everyone! I just heard about the complementary holiday that follows in a month. Although it never really struck me that V-day was more for women, I guess it sort of is for most couples, so this is fair. And, anyway, it sounds fun; I haven't gone out for a steak in maybe 5 years. (I'm assuming this holiday hasn't caught on already to such an extent that we won't be able to make reservations, which is good, because I certainly don't know how to cook a good steak.)

Put it on your calendar, HLM. :)

The secret to good steak is barely any cookin' at all. I'm not a fan of the 'Black' in 'Black and Blue', but I love the blue.

Hmm, apparently that is how you are supposed to like it too:

but I love the blue. - Did you at least kill the cow first? :) And, also, I may have been born in and currently living in Pittsburgh, but I'm not from Pittsburgh. I like my steaks medium rare. :)

"When in Rome, eat steak as the Romans do"

As for killing the cow ... yes, of course ... 98 degrees is too hot for the meat to be ... have to kill it, then let the meat cool to 80 degrees internally, like the website says.
