Background check

My employment at Colubrid is contingent on a background check.

I understand that in connection with my employment with Colubrid ("the Company"), the Company will use an outside agency to research and verify the information I have provided to the Company, including my personal background, character, professional standing, work history and qualifications.

This agency will provide a report to the Company. The Company uses PeopleSniffers, Inc., a consumer reporting agency, as an agent to perform background verifications.

I understand that PeopleSniffers, Inc. will obtain information it deems appropriate from various sources including, but not limited to, the following: consumer reporting agencies, employers, criminal conviction records, Department of Motor Vehicle records, military records, and school records. I authorize, without reservation, any individual, corporation or other private or public entity to furnish the Company and PeopleSniffers, Inc. all information about me.


Sheeeeeeesh. I think that last sentence might be giving even more permissions than I had to give to get a government "Top Secret" clearance a few years ago. Sigh. Have fun sniffing, guys.

We have to sign a code of conduct thing twice a year. Not signing means you can't work. So of course everyone signs. I don't even bother reading the thing. Companies have us by the b_lls.
