Well, if today is for complaints, count me in

Well, that was a pain. I let my $9 amex bill go past its due date, bad!, so I decided to see if I could pay it online... and yes I could, after I failed to get my normal username and then had to give them a password between 6 and 8 characters long that contained at least one numeral and one letter. My bill is paid, but it'll be a miracle if I remember how to log on there ever again.

In continued whining, almost all the websites I like except this one have gotten all boring... I'm dying a slow death this month over at RR, and people are posting inanity or nothing on sffworld. I can't even fix this sad state of affairs by futzing with my own site too much, because my laptop is sick and needs to go to the doctor. Time to break down and start administrating from work again, I guess.

Even so... three-day weekend coming up... about to go out for a great place for lunch... cannot pretend to be too unhappy.

So, there will be one more Mormon in the world...

My good work-friend T and his wife have just been approved for adoption (good! I mean, they really wanted to have one the normal way, so, sniff, but on the other hand they can be parents now, which they really want, so good). But, they are Mormons. So they will be taking this religion-meme-free baby and turning it into... one of them.

Of course these are two of the nicest people I know, and they will be the second-best set of parents ever, and who cares about the kid anyway if now my friends will be happier. So overall, I guess I approve. :)

Watch out world

Bossman just said yes--so I'm signed up for the Dale Carnegie course and a guaranteed busy summer. I'm really excited for some reason. Watch out world... watch out for soyfetus the political animal...

(all those who know me IRL are now falling out of their chairs at the thought of my becoming politically adept, ever... though I do suspect that's exactly why bossman is letting me take a non-software class... well, bossman, here's to hopin'!)
