And now we get back on the tilt-a-whirl

Forgot to mention that I got my mom a nice b-day present yesterday, but I did. And now it is mailed, and HLM and I filed intentions of marriage at the courthouse this morning (it's official--he'll be keeping his last name. I figured as much). They gave us a so-called newlywed kit consisting of free samples and a few coupons--the funniest is Pepto-Bismol "for heartburn, diarrhea, nausea, indigestion and upset stomachs." I guess they figure we're in for it!

And now... back to my zillion things to do. The software acted up wildly on Friday and I decided to sacrifice today for the sake of the nice weekend. Time to pay the piper.

Too many friggin' ideas

As someone who came up with an idea for a comic strip over the weekend (after the poem and short story ending, thanks much), this post made me laugh my ass off. Yeah. Me too. From "huh, it's kinda funny I've never even vaguely tried drawing a comic, isn't it" to "well, if I did try one I think I'd have a ghost cat in it, and..." and the next thing I knew I had some head shots and a list of characters drawn up, and concepts for at least 4 strips. Ridiculous. I have been meaning to draw again, sure, but not that. Since when can I do caricature art? Since when is this likely to pay? Since, like, never, is when. No! No! I wanna get married and then focus on starting up my new magazine...!

My idea says there are other people it can bother if I think I'm too goddamn good for it. Siggggggghhhhhhhh.
