Eka pada sirsasana
May. 7th, 2005 08:33 pmLast night was the master class on eka pada sirsasana, foot behind head pose. Suffice it to say that my pada did not go behind my sirs, and I also fell ass-over-teakettle and bruised my spine. Even so, I did some things I hadn't done before, including Astavakrasana, a pose I saw years ago in Yoga Journal and found way beyond me at the time. (When I came home and got HLM to take a picture, I found out that my shoulders were in the wrong position--but at least I was doing the arm balance).
( Astavakrasana! )
Today my goal was sloth, and with some help from my friend Mr. Chabon and his book The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, I've managed it admirably. Sleep, more sleep, sex, breakfast out and a whole lotta nothin'. After the way last week went, it feels good.
