All my base are belong to... Colubrid.
Jul. 26th, 2005 10:19 pmEver since my company (Politic Frog) was acquired I've been trying to come up with the name of something that eats frogs, so that I have a good name for my new company and can talk about work on public posts again. Turns out that a lot of things eat frogs, but I may have to go with the colubrid. From here, in reference specifically to the rat snake:
Largest of the harmless colubrids, named for their favourite food. Usually found in lowland jungles, they are often attracted by rodents to human settlements. These active fast-moving day-hunting snakes also eat frogs. Some constrict their prey. But some don’t and will swallow the prey alive... yes, yes, just the behavior I've been observing. :) So that's it... I work at Colubrid now. And if I'm in an especially bad mood I'll be working for Rat Snake.
I sort of have been wanting to post but I'm barely getting through my days right now. ( Sigh. )
In the one part of this weekend that was actually good, HLM and I saw March of the Penguins together. The newly hatched penguins are so cute it almost makes me want to breed. They're all cheep, che-e-e-e-p and then they duck back under their parent and you remember it's 40 below zero out there. They're tough little adorable fuzzies. I want one.
