Hmm. Apologies for accidentally posting nothing but stuff about my writing class for the last couple of weeks. I'll go ahead and say that my ABC story got written though, and it flows about as well as I could have asked for, and I avoided any characters named Xavier or Zachary. :)
The hedges think that all this weekend's rain is the best thing that's ever happened to them, and they're busting out all over in little green buds and branchlets. It's neat to see the tiny new shoots starting to grow from the big branches I hacked through. Life is a powerful force, I'm telling ya. I have to respect those plants.
As for me... I feel okay.
I've had about enough of introspection for the time being.
I want to go on cruise control now. It's shaping up to be a nice fall if I can just not freak out any more, and can let the rituals I've set up do what they're going to do for me. So, since I'm thinking of it, here's the first of the Zen quotes I keep meaning to post, from the ones I liked in my 2005 calendar. I hope it doesn't draw fire from people going but it isn't truuuuue!. Who cares... it's beautiful.
On the tips of ten thousand grasses
each and every dewdrop contains the light of the moon.
Since the beginning of time,
not a single droplet has been forgotten.
Although this is so,
some may realize it, and some may not.
