Utterly random late-night post
Jun. 21st, 2006 11:50 pmDamn that HLM for making such an interesting and guilt-inspiring post about mental circuit training, and the flabbiness of our minds since leaving college. I'm glad I've started memorizing poetry again, and my verbal skills are still fine, and my people skills and fitness are loads better than they ever used to be, but the math, not to mention the chemistry and physics! Argh. I'm so jealous of the people who never lost their grip on that stuff. (The physicists I've known seem to hold onto it better than the engineers, for some reason.)
My thumb is hurt (from handstands, I think), and I probably need to give it a rest. That fills me with argh-ness as well. I guess tomorrow will just be cardio and lower-body stretching. Which is going well, by the way -- today in yoga we were doing box pose, and I managed to rest my right calf on my left one for something like the third time in a row. Soon the knee will touch down, and sometime after that the left side will think about improving too. I am Asymmetry Girl. :)
Lot of getting-my-financial-house-in-order stuff in the last couple of days... many new accounts and fluffloads of re-allocation cruft. I look forward to getting it all set up and then not thinking about it again until I absolutely have to.
Have you crafty folks heard of etsy.com yet?
