up very nicely. Thanks man!
Now I don't have to.
Prose:
What scares me most about circus acts these days is how many moves I recognize (and you're right,
nevers, people do do straight-arm, straight-leg pike-throughs on the trapeze -- I noticed -- so it's apparently possible. Ai yi).
What amazed me most about this show was the variety of tricks they managed to do on cyr wheels.
What delighted me was the comedy numbers -- enjoyable, human, not slapsticky and overdone. Actually, the hardest I laughed was during a comedy/contortion number in which two people were pretending to manhandle/stretch a contortionist in ways that (apparently) looked like they might hurt. The audience was gasping and I was going "okay, they're putting her in oversplits" and laughing at the audience.
Time to go to sleep and dream of girls swinging from lyras with their toes skimming through water... and of course hope that Night of Renegades went okay for
nevers down in NYC.
