20 minutes of softness

It was such a nice evening that I sat outside at Porter Square and watched the teenage boys skateboarding for a while, and finished reading a YA book heisenbug bought recently. Nobody talked to me. The air was nice and soft. After I put down the book and had been just sitting for a couple of minutes, one of the kids came over and nicely asked me if I would sign a petition for a skateboard park in Somerville.

I said sure. But... if they get their park will they still come to Porter? Say yes, kids, I like the sound of the boards.
