What I learned modelling jeans
Jul. 6th, 2008 02:20 pmAs mentioned, I did some modelling for TrueJeans.com a while ago (go buy their jeans; you'll be paying the salary of a good friend of mine). While I was there they kept saying "hmm, what else would look good on a curvy body?" which scared me into thinking I might be their idea of plus-sized, until someone told me that by "curvy" they mean "having a 10-inch difference between waist and hip measurements". Their usual model is kind of straight up and down. Anyway, I now have pictures, and a little more understanding of what makes jeans look good and bad on people with my body type.
To look dumpier, especially from behind: wear low-rise, flared jeans with flats. Especially denim with a stripey pattern, that clearly shows how the garment gets wider at the ass.

To look hotter, wear mid-rise, darker jeans with a gentler bootcut. And... this is the sad part... wear heels. Sob! It's true! Wear 4" torture-heels. If you do these things, your legs will look long and that very same ass will look much improved:

Oh, one more note about those pictures... that is me, but it's someone else's belly button. Yep... they censored my belly button ring! I forgive them because they also gave me a slight tan.
