Sunday yes I slept too late, but Friday never hesitate

I feel like I've been quiet for a while. Well, what's on my mind at the moment is OMG, I was so hot in the gym this weekend. At least I'm going to assume that's why I got a few dirty looks (from women) yesterday, because I sure didn't do anything to anyone -- I can be self-absorbed, but never discourteous in the gym. I respect it as a safe place, and it actually makes me sad that I might make it slightly less safe for anyone, or make them feel bad, just by looking the way I do or working hard or whatever. Anyway, yeah, not so chuffed about the dirty looks, but very chuffed at looking good, and nearly doing the splits again today. It's only the second time I've seriously worked them since late last fall, thanks to having one or the other leg hurting and also being really rushed at the gym most days this spring, and I'm about as close to the ground as I was 2 weeks before touching down, last year. ROCK ON.

I also figured out that, although my back twinging a couple of times lately has been freaking me out, I also haven't been doing hamstring ball curls every morning like I was for a while. And I haven't been doing back extensions (aka "hungry caterpillars") at the gym, either. I'm adding those things back to my life pronto, and with great hopes.

The Summer of Sloth, slow to get started, is also going well. I got a ton of sleep this weekend and read Long May She Reign, a book with a charmingly snarky narrator whose two prequels I read when I was 13. The series is about the daughter of the first-ever female president, and this one just came out, almost 20 years after the first two -- I think the author decided she had more to say about the Presidency and life in the First Family after 9/11... or possibly with Hillary's run. So yeah, lots of reading, and coffee, and no working, and hanging out with bluechromis, and geez, I even cooked.
