Like A Flamewar with a Forum Troll, but with an Eventual Winner

Why did I donate (a little bit) to a campaign for downtown Olathe, Kansas? Easy. I want geeks in office, everywhere, high and low. Maybe we start in Kansas.

Yesterday I was playing ping-pong with someone who badly wants to beat me, but wasn't winning. As usual, I was hypnotized by the ball and totally forgot the score several times during the final game. I commented that it was nice that he was honest. He laughed. "I don't think anything else would occur to an engineer," he said. "It's like, this is the score, because that's how the numbers work out."

I want that quality in our leadership.
