Back in business...?
Sep. 27th, 2008 02:49 pmI took a little trip to the Verizon Wireless store today.
Did I even tell you how I killed my phone? It died because I put a travel-type coffee cup into my purse (carefully, right-side up, just for a minute), walked into a meeting and forgot all about it when an urgent work thing came up. There was only water in the cup, not coffee, or things would have been worse.
The Verizon people were very nice. In the end, they traded me a new phone for for ~0.7 oodles of money. Then I shopped at Old Navy and H&M with the determined consumerism of someone who probably won't see another mall in 2008.
Walking to work from the mall, I had a Camelbak in my purse that I haven't been using lately. I might not have put it together right, because... it leaked.
The new phone is fine. My Palm is not turning on.
Oh, gadgets! The sad fact is that we live longer than they do, and at some point we always have to say goodbye, but work stress seems to be especially bad for them.
