Aug. 6th, 2010 07:49 pmVacation has arrived, after a gloomy week in which I fixed exactly ONE very hard to reproduce bug. (Bleh!)
Now sitting in a plane in Dallas en route to New Mexico. It's good simply not being on much of a schedule. The nap I took on the last plane is the first I've taken in quite a while. Also read a big chunk of Christopher Alexander's book The Nature Of Order. It's mesmerizing in the same way as A Pattern Language, except this time he's also on about life and physics as well as architecture. It would be easy to decide he's crazy, but then he explains how placing a single dot on a piece of paper creates 20+ overlapping zones of space and he's RIGHT.
Looking forward to enchiladas, good guacamole and margaritas. Soon, soon.
