Dec. 24th, 2010 09:16 pmTen days or so ago -- my sense of time, never good, is shot these days -- we were lying in bed at about 10:30 when the downstairs neighbor started playing music pretty loudly.
I liked the song, and when he backtracked the CD to play that same song again I crawled out of bed and went downstairs in my PJs to ask him what it was. It was this:
I finally bought the CD today. The artist is all over the map as far as musical genre goes, and is way more influenced by science fiction than you'd often expect of someone signed onto Sean Combs' record label.
In an NPR interview in September 2010, Janelle Monae stated that she is a believer in, and a proponent of time travel.
