Handstand headiness and cat concerns
May. 7th, 2012 10:40 pmInjured myself in a highly promising way tonight. I was doing press-walks (that'd be a drill toward the press handstand), and getting very close to getting my feet off the floor, so they'd drag a bit. And I was focused and I had gotten good feedback, and I was trying so hard. And my feet apparently came off the floor, swung forward and smashed into my wrists. Now I have a cut on my left wrist from my toenail, and I'm thinking did I really do that?. I think I did really do that. If I really did do that, and I'm taking handstand classes twice a week, I bet 2012 is my year.
I remember a long time ago when
nevers couldn't press yet, and she could get her feet off the ground but they'd come forward, and I wonder if that's a thing, a phase I'm going to go through.
We had a health scare with Rafe today; he was lying on his side, breathing fast and not responding to
heisenbug. The vet couldn't find anything wrong, and I missed the whole thing because I didn't hear my phone. :-( I'm going to try to be more consistent about turning its ring volume up and having it out on my desk, from now on.
I already took melotonin... sleep-time.
