Planned and unplanned accomplishments
Jun. 4th, 2012 11:09 pmSometimes lately I've been down on myself for the various physical accomplishments I either haven't managed, or else have accomplished and then let slide. Where are my walkovers? Where are my goddamn splits? I had them once; did I just not care enough? My several-years-younger self would be furious if she knew I was turning 35 soon (35!) and had been so wasteful. Let's not even talk about my press handstand, which it's starting to feel downright embarrassing not to have.
However, there were two pictures taken of me this weekend that made me VERY happy. One is flashy and one is tough. The guy in the pictures with me did me the favor of mashing them together into one image, and here it is:

That's right, bitches. I've got a guy on my hands who outweighs me by... gotta be close to 100 pounds. A guy who can hold ME up with one hand (and that's a happy me up there, too). These pictures are showing totally unplanned accomplishments, and they somewhat take the sting out of the planned ones that I can't seem to achieve or maintain.
