Not boring in the least
May. 11th, 2013 12:01 amYou've all read the new entry over on Hyperbole and a Half, right? right? OK, good.
Let us now take a minute to appreciate life when nothing too huge is going on... when the adventures are mostly manageable.
I am in this lovely stretch of time right now; not graduating from med school or business school, not getting married or divorced, not buying a house or selling a house, not getting a new job or leaving one, not dealing with a major injury or illness or sudden windfall or new family member. Not in the grip of a crush or a depression, not counting down to much or counting up from much. Yes, bad and good things are happening, but not enough to sway me particularly.
People, I LOVE times like this. Times like this are when the things that happen to me during the day ARE the things that are on my mind, and they're when I make progress on work and handstands. I don't have a ton of free time maybe, but neither am I obsessed with anything... I can think about life issues, if I should choose to. Or I can relax and enjoy trying a new kind of cider with dinner. Or I can read a book about urban exploration and take it as inspiration to poke mildly around the roof of one of the Google buildings. I'd like this to go on for a long, long time.
