Randomness from the rest of my life

• I went to yoga last night, for the first time in months -- ashtanga 2nd series and it barely made me break a sweat. That said, there are moves I don't have the feel for anymore, and I was able to feel every tiny injury and asymmetry in my body. Oh, yoga, you keep me from cheating but your very completeness makes you inefficient.
• Work maelstroms continue apace. My new manager will be reporting, not to the flaky VP who I at least know, but to an engineering director I don't know; this won't necessarily be bad. And my co-lead is likely transferring in January to a different team, which is bad. And I'm having a lot of trouble getting the internal transfer I want to bring into the team, due to total incompetence/assholery on that person's manager's part. This is also bad. AUGH.
• Livejournal has randomly deleted the text of one of my posts, TWICE. Massive grumps. I filed a bug on them -- this is the first such problem I've had in ten years of heavy use, and yes I do read my own archives all the time. (Narcissism? Me?)
• I donated to Wikipedia.
• There hasn't been nearly enough acro in my life for the last 3 weeks or so. I was really pleased to get a text from the Ant last night: open studio tomorrow? Yes yes yes! I'll be there with upside-down bells on. Really hoping he shows up.


Edited to add: Yep, acro was exactly what I needed. The Ant showed and, unlike sometimes, we snapped right back into how things are supposed to feel. One extended standing foot-to-hand, one standing hand-to-hand which stuck and didn't make him take a step and we came out on purpose, log rolling, other good things. (And when things went wrong we laughed, instead of grouching like we sometimes do.) Why does life seem SO MUCH BETTER just because I got to do a handstand on a friend's hands nearly six feet in the air? I don't know or care.
