I did a couple of pike-ups on Monday -- first attempts in months -- and they were not terrible! One succeeded (with a spot, of course, and a giant shoulder push), surprising me greatly.

Tonight, some kind of new record: we did ten kick-ups on our own in class, and I caught my balance on six of them (then I'd try to adjust myself into having good form, until I fell out). That's... more than half. Eeeee! :-D Naturally, I then caught zero out of ten straddle-ups; I lose those suckers when I don't work on them, and I do better on them when I'm fresh. Maybe I should try to do ten attempts every time I work on my own.
