It's not that I have tons of time to post, I just feel like I should have it. Where do the days go? Here are some facts for you.

1) I've found jeans that really, truly fit me: Joe's Jeans Socialite fit, size 26 (note: this is a size smaller than I wear in any other jeans brand, and I suspect shenanigans). Having bought two pairs now, both of them used, I'm a believer. Strange thing about these jeans... they're available all over eBay, but not new. Which is short-term okay with me, as I'm a fan of buying $200 jeans for $30 anyway.

2) I have learned that those gunky things in your nose -- and in my nose, too -- are sebaceous filaments, not blackheads. Having read a lot on the topic, and then stared for a long long time at results for "blackhead" on Image Search, I think I'm prepared to say something shocking: I don't have blackheads. Next time I go sniffing about the internet for awesome-sounding DIY facials, I'm only starting with the ones that know the truth about SFs.

3) Speaking of acne, I was a bad scientist this week, indulging in three suspected mild triggers on three consecutive nights: peanuts on Tuesday, trace amounts of dairy on Wednesday, a banana on Thursday. Yes, minor breakout on chin. No, don't know exactly why, though it DID start late at night on peanut day (boo, hiss, peanuts). My period, it appears, is due in six days, so it might be a fine time to be less careless and see if I can minimize the pre-period breakout.

4) Schadenfreude! That manager at the Googleplex who tried to get me fired back in 2008 is still around... yup, still around, still 3,000 miles away, now as an individual contributor and one level below me on the eng ladder. WOW. I guess that management gig really, really didn't work out for him. o_O
