Cheerful exercise stuff
Nov. 2nd, 2015 10:51 pmAhhh, this is cheerful:

I did squats, the old-fashioned kind, with a bar on Sunday, and got almost up to my body weight but didn't want to push it. I was still able to do some pistols, splits were amazing, and my glutes were sore, so maybe I will indeed go back to some of that for leg day. 4-5 sets of weighted squats, two or three sets of pistols alternating with one-leg SLDLs, a dragon pistol for fun, and splits.
And speaking of splits, I was doing some thinking about how 2015 has been overall, and realized: no real hamstring or wrist injuries this year. None. Huh, I guess that explains some of the steady progress and lack of drama with handstands, doesn't it?
And speaking of handstands, or handbalancing -- tonight I learned I can load into a one-arm croc without using my free hand at all. Actually, it was pretty easy for me, just a very slight extension of some drills Bender used to have us do. So I just got a trick for free.
