Third and last full day in Jamaica
Feb. 18th, 2016 09:49 pmSea kayaking, a fresh coconut, an underwhelming drive through Fern Gully, a tour through a craft market of super friendly-agressive vendors: wooden carvings of animals, paintings of black people with long spindly limbs, cheap jewelry and clothing. I took decent care of the children at the market, and taught headstands (well, gave a lesson anyway) to four students of varying age and bodily abilities.
For sure I am tapped out on fake parenting, though. I've done okay with it, and yes of course part of me would like to stay here sleeping lots and listening to the surf for ages, but I'm ready for some time in the world of adults and cats and handstand lessons too.
ETA: meant to say that I got my little Go program working, and was sold to in the market by a man named Everald. Super cool name.
