I was all sleepy and fuzzy for nearly a week there -- a combination, maybe, of having my period, and a long weekend, and worrying about other people's stuff.
heisenbug's outpatient surgery last Thursday went well, at least, and he's hanging around the house recovering.
I read Soul of an Octopus and liked it a lot, and was nearly at the end of the book before I realized the action was taking place right in Boston. That same day they had grilled octopus in the Zillian cafeteria... sigh. :P And a few days later I went to see the giant octopuses at the New England Aquarium with
norwoodbridge and, even though they weren't the exact ones in the book, it was neat to feel like I had some context on what I was seeing. (Octopuses are smart and curious creatures, and they also seem to sleep a lot. I can identify with that.)
I think I'm waking up again.
