I got photos back from the photographer, and have done the surprisingly difficult job of narrowing my favorites down to 20. Next they get retouched and eventually I get digital copies of my very own. It's interesting to notice how the same lighting that is very, very kind to my muscle definition is a little bit unkind to my face. If you ask for texture you get texture, it turns out, and that means ALL the fine lines and a somewhat brittle prettiness. (The muscles though? WORTH IT.)

On Tuesday night I met one of Norwood's other girlfriends, who's been around for 3 months or so and who I will call Honeybee. I have also perhaps, at times, referred to her as The Sane One -- I mean um what? She is perfectly sane, after all. Lives in his town, has a husband and a kid, has a background in both standup comedy and dominatrix work (!) and is training to be a masseuse. I think she's cool, and meeting her was just... easy, nice. She came out with her husband and we all had drinks, and nobody had to arrive or leave alone, and I get the attraction well enough and also don't feel threatened. Would that I could feel so peaceful about every metamour, from now until the end of time.

Also, how about [personal profile] heisenbug being employed? It's been a week and I think we're both still adjusting, but (for me) in a good way. He did sprain his toe last Wednesday in acro class, so that was sad and he has a big clunky boot to walk around in now. We shopped this morning for a platform shoe or shoe extender that will lift the other foot up to the same height. And I'm continuing to feel meh about the trio acro class, which both broke this toe and then produced this sprain a few weeks later. This is the last session of it and they won't run it for a while, which I'm thinking is good after observing the injury rate. My favorite duo to work with won't be there, so... double meh. No three-high out of lines for me.

I got my numbers together to see the Flea next week, too. The Flea is my financial advisor, who I really like, and who goes a little green around the gills when I talk about retiring at age 45 (which is now in only four years, tick tock, tick tock). This year I have a little spreadsheet to show him, which has my actual burn rate for the last three years and some retirement calculations based on that (4% rule? ultra-conservative 3% rule?). I expect we'll have an interesting discussion.

Hazelnut vinaigrette does not seem to be commercially available, but there are lots of recipes for it and I've ordered the one uncommon ingredient: hazelnut oil. So. Things in progress.
