This was actually the heaviest work-week yet. I put in about 26 hours across Monday and Tuesday alone, sitting in long meetings and deciding (with others) whether to promote people. There's only one decision that I think was really made wrongly, and it bothers me, but out of around 30 promo cases, one isn't too bad. After that there was about a day to catch up on some stuff and then 2 days focused completely on writing the PRD whose deadline I missed last week. I sent it out for review at the end of Friday. So although this wasn't at all the way I want most weeks to go, I did get two big "done with THAT" dopamine hits out of it, and I was not really stressed. Just loopy by the end from too many hours. Obviously it made hash of being "part time" this week, and messed up my dates, but I think I was underworking for a solid year before this recent binge. Also -- several times during the promotion processes, I saw managers defending a promotion on the grounds of wording that I added to the official wording over the last two years, and that was rewarding as fuck. Also -- I'm totally taking next Friday off, and probably my birthday week too.

Almost forgot there was some activism mixed in there... that stuff is never conveniently timed.

So this weekend I was trying to detach / de-stress. The most interesting thing I did was getting a full-body dexa scan, with the squirrel. It turns out my bone density is good (whew), and the scan had things to say about how much muscle mass I had on each side of my body. I'm pretty symmetrical and it gave me an A on overall body composition, which was the annoying part, actually, because letter grades?. Still, interesting, and maybe we'll go back in 90 days for a spring/summer before and after.

Today was for making tamales, which I did while chatting with [personal profile] apfelsingail, and trimming/sending video for all three of this week's workouts, which I did while listening to a mortician answer questions about dead bodies on Youtube. Now it's late... time for a few pages of Children of Memory and a final slide into sleep.

Favorite new Lent joke, since it's Easter: I tried to give up innuendo for Lent. But it was so long... and hard...
